Colonel Raymond Pearson established the Spirit of 1776 Ranch on what would become Nassau Bay. In 1962, a community was planned which would be an exclusive residential and commercial area emphasizing its pioneers and at a then-staggering cost of $49 million. In 1962 construction of Nassau Bay began and the first residents moved to Nassau Bay in 1964; its initial population was 400. It was developed by Ernest W. Roe Company, with Thompson McCleary of Caudill, Rowlett, and Scott providing architectural services and Nassau Bay Development Associates establishing the development. The name was chosen by the developers because of the tropical feeling it generated. At the time, NASA was moving personnel from several areas in the United States with a high quality of life, including California and notably, Florida. In 1968 the community had 2,979 residents. The city incorporated in 1970. The population was 6,702 in 1980, 4,526 in 1982, 4,506 in 1991, and 4,170 in 2000.

Beasley is on the Southern Pacific Railroad and U.S. Highway 59 eleven miles southwest of Richmond in southwestern Fort Bend County. It was laid out on the Galveston, Harrisburg and San Antonio Railway in the mid-1890s by Cecil A. Beasley, a Richmond banker, who called the town Dyer in honor of Miss Isabel Dyer, who later became Mrs. Beasley. When it was found that another community was called Dyer, the town was named Beasley instead. In 1910 the Stern and Stern Land Company of Kansas City began to promote the community and the surrounding prairie lands, and Beasley became a supply and shipping point for settlers.

The name originated with Florence Dissiway, a Frenchwoman who moved to the area during the 1850s to be a governess for the R. T. and Henry Robinson families. Dissiway called the spot Blanc Point, which local residents eventually changed to Point Blank.

By the mid-1980s Point Blank had twelve businesses and 325 residents and was the third largest town in San Jacinto County. In 1990 the population was 443. The population grew to 559 by 2000.

In 1845, William and Lydia Ann English Guyler, pioneer settlers of Bovine Bend in Texas (later to be called Wallis, Texas), were proud new owners of some 2900 acres of land.  When they build their log cabin (the fashion of the day), they sent a courier to Casual Patio to build out their custom patio.  After resting from their journey from Kentucky, they enjoyed their covered patio and custom grill.  Lydia mention to William a good addition to their new rustic home would be an Above Ground Pool.

Because Casual Patio Pools and Spas did such a good job on their new addition, they sent a courier pidgeon message to have them come out and install a new Above Ground Pool and a Hot Tub.  What a better way to relax after a day in the fields.
