Foaming and scum makes spending time in your hot tub undesirable.
Scum formation is a serious detractions to your clear spa and hot tub water goal. Spa chemicals generally do not cause foaming. A biguanide, however, can cause some low level foaming. The most common cause is the reaction of body oils and cosmetic residues with the natural alkalinity of the water. This can lead to the formation of "soaps" and the possibility of a foamy water problem.
Some anti-foam chemicals can help, but the problem will recur if you don't take precautions.
